SAM WOOD

Sam Wood is a London-born guitarist now based in West Yorkshire. After cutting his teeth in several Leeds-based bands, his break came in 2017 when frontman Toby Jepson invited him to co-found the hard rock outfit Wayward Sons. Since then, Sam has co-written and performed on three critically acclaimed, charting albums with the band, earning a reputation for his dynamic stage presence and finely crafted guitar work.

Currently, Sam is a touring and recording member of Black Star Riders and performs with Oli Brown & The Dead Collective, further cementing his status as a key figure in the modern UK rock scene. His style and tone are deeply rooted in the golden era of classic rock, blending powerful riffs and vintage-inspired tones to deliver a sound that’s both timeless and fresh. Whether in the studio or on stage, Sam brings a distinctive voice to the guitar.
